Designing Your Menu

Build a professional digital menu that customers see when they scan your QR code

5 steps
1

Open the Menu Editor

1/5

From your YSW Lab dashboard, click 'Menu' in the sidebar. This is your menu editor where you manage everything customers see. Make sure each item has a clear name, accurate price, and an appetizing photo before proceeding.

Step 1: Open the Menu Editor
2

Organize items into categories

2/5

Group your items logically — for example, 'Appetizers', 'Main Course', 'Drinks', and 'Desserts'. Click '+ Add Category' to create new groups. Drag categories up or down to control the order they appear on the customer menu.

Step 2: Organize items into categories
3

Configure item details and options

3/5

Click any item to edit it. Add a description (e.g., 'Spicy Thai basil chicken with jasmine rice'), set add-on options (extra cheese +$1), and mark items as 'Featured' to highlight your best sellers. Featured items appear with larger photos at the top of each category.

Step 3: Configure item details and options
4

Set item availability

4/5

Toggle the 'Available' switch on any item to temporarily hide it from the menu — useful for items that sell out during the day. You can also set scheduled availability for items only served during certain hours, like breakfast items or happy hour specials.

Step 4: Set item availability

Preview your customer menu

5/5

Click the 'Preview' button in the top-right corner to see exactly what customers see when they scan your QR code. Check it on both phone and tablet views. Make sure the photos load properly, prices are correct, and the category order makes sense.
