Reading Your Reports

Understand your sales data, track trends, and export records

6 steps
1

Access your sales dashboard

1/6

From your YSW Lab dashboard, click 'Reports' in the sidebar. The overview page shows today's key numbers at a glance: total orders, total revenue, average order value, and comparison with the same day last week so you can spot trends immediately.

Step 1: Access your sales dashboard
2

Filter reports by date range

2/6

Use the date picker at the top to switch between Today, This Week, This Month, or set a custom date range. Each view shows a chart of sales over time plus a breakdown table. Weekly and monthly views are especially useful for spotting patterns like slow days or seasonal trends.

Step 2: Filter reports by date range
3

View your top-selling items

3/6

Scroll down to the 'Popular Items' section to see which menu items sell the most by both quantity and revenue. Use this data to decide which items to promote, which to keep, and which to consider replacing. Items with high margins and high volume are your stars.

Step 3: View your top-selling items
4

Export data for your accountant

4/6

Click 'Export CSV' to download a spreadsheet of all transactions for the selected date range. The export includes order ID, date, items, subtotal, tax amount, total, and payment method. Hand this file to your accountant for tax filing — it is formatted and ready to use.

Step 4: Export data for your accountant
5

Monitor staff performance

5/6

If you have multiple staff members, the 'Staff' tab in Reports shows orders processed by each person, their average order value, and total revenue handled. This helps you identify your top performers and understand workload distribution across shifts.

Step 5: Monitor staff performance
6

Set up monthly auto-reports

6/6

Go to Reports > Settings and enable 'Monthly Email Report'. On the 1st of each month, you will receive an email summary of the previous month's performance including total revenue, order count, top items, and a comparison with the month before. No need to log in to check.
