How to Set Up QR Code Ordering for Your Restaurant
QR code ordering lets customers scan, browse your menu, and order from their phone — no app download needed. Here's how to set it up in 10 minutes.
What You Need
- A phone, tablet, or laptop (any device with a browser)
- Photos of your dishes (optional — AI can enhance them)
- A printer for QR codes (or use a print shop)
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to ysw-lab.com/register and sign up. It takes 30 seconds. No credit card required — you get a 7-day free trial.
Step 2: Add Your Menu
Add your dishes with names, prices, and photos. YSW Lab's AI photo enhancement automatically makes your food photos look professional — even photos taken with a phone camera.
You can also use AI menu design to auto-generate a beautiful menu layout from your items.
Step 3: Generate QR Codes
Navigate to the QR Codes section in your dashboard. You have two options:
- Table QR codes — unique QR per table (orders auto-tagged with table number)
- Counter QR code — single QR for counter ordering
Step 4: Print and Display
Print QR codes on stickers, tent cards, or laminated sheets. Place them on each table or at your counter. Customers scan with their phone camera — no app download needed.
Step 5: Start Receiving Orders
When a customer scans and orders, it appears on your dashboard instantly. If you have a Kitchen Display System (KDS) set up, orders go directly to the kitchen screen.
Accept payments via PayNow, GrabPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, FPX, card, cash, or any of 18 supported payment providers.
How Much Does It Cost?
$9/month for the Starter plan. That includes QR ordering, menu management, and order management. Transaction fee is only 0.3% — the lowest in the POS industry.
Compare: Square charges 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction. Toast charges $50+/month just for their QR ordering add-on.
